Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By accessing PetSoMo (the “Service”), operated by xcircl LLC, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Not medical advice

PetSoMo is an informational directory — not a veterinary provider, pharmacy, or telehealth service. Nothing here is medical advice, and it must not be relied on for your pet's health decisions. If your pet is sick or injured, consult a licensed veterinarian directly. In an emergency, contact an emergency animal hospital right away.

3. Acceptable use

  • Do not scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract the Service except as expressly permitted (see our /llms.txt for citation terms).
  • Do not misrepresent your affiliation with a clinic when claiming a listing.
  • Do not use the Service to harass clinics or submit false correction requests.
  • Do not interfere with the Service's operation or security.

4. About “verified” and third-party data

Many facts are aggregated from public and third-party sources (state veterinary boards, the AAHA directory, Google Maps and other public business listings) or self-reported by clinics. Each fact is published as an attributed claim with its source and verified date. Items we label “verified” carry a source you can check; items labeled otherwise have not been independently confirmed. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or currency of third-party-sourced or self-reported fields, and such fields are provided “as is.” For high-stakes decisions, confirm directly with the clinic or the source. Report errors via data corrections.

5. Clinic claims & submissions

Anyone claiming a page must be authorized to represent that clinic and is responsible for what they submit. Details submitted after a claim are labeled “submitted by clinic” with a timestamp. We reserve the right to review, correct, or remove inaccurate content.

6. Pricing information

Any fees shown are self-reported or drawn from public listings as of the verified date — they are context, not a quote, and are subject to change. An exam or consultation fee does not include diagnostics, treatment, or medication. Always confirm current pricing with the clinic before your visit.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, xcircl LLC and its suppliers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of (or reliance on) the Service or any third-party-sourced data. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to US $100.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless xcircl LLC from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Exclusive jurisdiction and venue lie in the state and federal courts located in Delaware.
